I have about 1/4 of my front yard covered by a mat if Bahia that is somewhat green right now. Can I hit it with glyphosate and not damage the adjacent centipede too much? In Mandeville.

Yea, if you want to cut the grass every 4 or 5 days! Been there, done that.

MSM Turf (methsulfuron methyl) or sethoxydim. But sure, if you have a large areas of bahiagrass you can use glyphosate, but your job to minimize overspray on the centipede.

I live in an area that was once dairy pasture so lot of bahiagrass. Centipede lawn. I eliminated with MSM Turf - it took a couple years.

Seems like I’ve read that centipede doesn’t go completely dormant in the winter, so glyphosate might kill your centipede.
MSM was what I used and it took a long time. But after a couple of months, the ugly seed stalks started fading out after each mowing. Complete suppression came quickly.

MSM. Effective and cheap. It’s got to be one of the best bargains in weed control.
