Game turned after he struck out the side and showed some emotion. He’s been here. May take some time to get the expectations for that jersey, with so many new players. Just thought there may be something to it leadership wise and will be interesting to watch things develop.

Guidry is one of our best arms when it comes to comes in and just shifts the moment type pitcher. I don’t know if I’d bring him in ina high leverage like guy on third one out need the k just yet, but im leaning that way with him. I basically love everything I saw today even some Evans struggles

I don’t think many people realize this his first season since he was a junior in high school he’s 100% healthy. His lower back issues were really complicated. His images came back positive not long after the CWS last year. His freshman year he looked amazing while fighting his back pain…reason Jay only let him go one inning. Except in the CWS when Jay had him close several games because he wasn’t feeling anything with the amount of adrenaline he had.

I’m not sure if what game would be higher high leverage than coming in to close both games against Florida to win the CWS as a true freshman. He lives for those games, the most competitive kids I’ve known. Even better leader.

The players respond to him. His fire and competitiveness make him a natural leader.

He's a favorite. Always fired up.

I think my wife has a crush on him. She's been asking for a year about where he is, how's he doing. Or maybe she just knows he's a great pitcher, and we need him..

I sure like his fire and intense emotions as soon as he takes the mound. We get 100 percent focus on every pitch.BTW Gavin has atleast a couple more pitches in his arsonal that are filthy.

He was also electric in the dugout last year too. He made just about if not all the road game trips as well.
