Don't throw rotten eggs on me. I guess I should know the answer to this but I don't.

Grew up in NY. Nets fan while they were on Long Island (Kevins Lougherly! Dr J!) and spat at them when they moved and became a begrudging Knicks fan. Even though the Nets are back I still remain a loyal Knicks fan, but I hate them (the Nets) less. I guess. A little.

Anyway, NBA not so much my thing but last year my Knicks lost to them in a heartbreaker (for Knicks fans) playoff series.

Today they are playing and Indiana flat out sucks. They have 11 wins.

I need an assist - did I miss a trade or a coach firing? What the hell happened to the Pacers?

Tanking while Haliburton is out for the year.

I expected Indy would be bad, just not 13-40 bad. Maybe 20-33 with the East being fairly weak.

I’m addition to Haliburton being out they lost Myles Turner to Milwaukee. I don’t think they are intentionally tanking, they just suck. I don’t think anyone thought they would be this bad, maybe competing for the last play-in spot at worst.

Their best player, Halburton is out for the year. They also lost Myles Turner. I didn't think he was that good, but perhaps he was more integral to that team than I thought.

Even with these losses, they are still worse than I would have expected them to be.

they are. they have rest games every week where half their players are "unavailable"

they are trying to get a top 4 pick to load up in a draft that is considered deep. to add to getting Halliburton back.

Their best player tore his achilles in game 7 of the NBA Finals last June and they decided to tank this season.
Keep in mind, Boston's best player also tore his achilles the same month and they're still a good team so far.

They started the season without Hali and McConnell. The first week of the season they lost Nembhard, Mathurin, and Toppin for multiple weeks. Then Nesmith. By the time guys started getting healthy they were already like 1-13 or something.

Well they are now because the season is lost, I don’t think they started the season intending to tank is what I meant.

Boston has a much better compliment of players including Jaylen Brown and Derrick White who have kept in contention.

Brown may win MVP if cause a bunch of people are close to games played limit.

Not a question worth eggs getting thrown at you.

I wish I was a Knicks fan. The Pels have traded two of my all time favorite Pels in the last few years. Josh hart and Jose Avocado on the same team makes me have a pretty jealous rage. Definitely rooting for them to win it all this year. Though a team in the West is almost certainly going to win it.
