It was probably his only opportunity to personally petition the President for a redress of grievances.
I'm not familiar with the exchange, but anything less than threats I think is well within his rights.

Generally it’s a bad look to publicly embarrass the company.
Screaming things at the president while he is at your facility and you are on the clock would easily qualify.
If Obama was up at our office, I’m not going to go scream things at him. I’d just not be there or I wouldn’t be around.

Invalid comparison one is at a completely unrelated event off the clock. The other is on work property on the clock.
Also plenty of people have been fired for actions outside of work.

If your actions put your company in an embarrassing situation or caused negative repercussions towards the company you can be disciplined and fired. He was disciplined as he was suspended, company union choice of further actions was on them as the company would not want that on them

Some people don't mind showing their arse. Sabula (you have to go back) is lucky he works at a union plant. Unfortunately, he's too blinded in his hate for Trump to see that Trump is trying to rejuvenate and strengthen manufacturing in our Country.
