A Michigan Ford worker who was involved in a heated exchange with President Trump last month will not lose his job, according to a UAW representative.
Union Vice President Laura Dickerson confirmed that the worker, TJ Sabula, "has no discipline on his record." Ford suspended Sabula with pay after the incident on Jan. 13 during Mr. Trump's visit to Metro Detroit.

No surprise, unions are for scumbags. They once served somewhat of a purpose in the not-so-recent past, now they’re just another arm of the establishment.

X1000 - to the detriment of the American worker. Theyre basically a legal iteration of a cosa nostra racket and in most cases are controlled by organized crime.

Embarrasses his employer nationally, no discipline.
And this is why car manufacturers flee to right to work states

I'm okay with this.
It was probably his only opportunity to personally petition the President for a redress of grievances.
I'm not familiar with the exchange, but anything less than threats I think is well within his rights.
Yes, I'm sure it embarrassed his employer- but what other opportunity would the dude have had on his own time? None.

UAW is a strong union. Can't fire a guy unless he steals or resigns.

Well you shouldn’t be using company time to embarrass the company.
If Ford was a proper company they would have fired him for embarrassing them and possibly costing them money.

Of course he keeps his job.. why would he be fired???

Generally it’s a bad look to publicly embarrass the company.
Screaming things at the president while he is at your facility and you are on the clock would easily qualify.
If Obama was up at our office, I’m not going to go scream things at him. I’d just not be there or I wouldn’t be around.

He did nothing to be fired, per Company-Union rules.
I'm sorry you conservatards can't just fire anybody who doesn't goose step to your favorite leaders, but there are rules that Ford must apply to their decision.
Is the worker a d-bag, yes, lose his job over yelling shite? No I'm sure many of you on the down low conservatives have yelled worse at opposing teams fans and players on a Saturday.

Invalid comparison one is at a completely unrelated event off the clock. The other is on work property on the clock.
Also plenty of people have been fired for actions outside of work.
This guy made a scene embarrassing his employer at its facility and on the clock.
I know it’s hard for liberals to understand simple context.

How is going to right to work states cheaper labor ?

If your actions put your company in an embarrassing situation or caused negative repercussions towards the company you can be disciplined and fired. He was disciplined as he was suspended, company union choice of further actions was on them as the company would not want that on them

Depends on the industry

Some people don't mind showing their arse. Sabula (you have to go back) is lucky he works at a union plant. Unfortunately, he's too blinded in his hate for Trump to see that Trump is trying to rejuvenate and strengthen manufacturing in our Country.
