Charlotte’s sheriff doesn’t know how many branches of government there are

Representative Chesser: What branch of government do you operate under?
Sheriff McFadden: Mecklenburg County.
Chesser: What branch of government do you operate under as sheriff?
McFadden: Constitution of the United States.
The elected Democrat sheriff of the county containing one of the largest cities in the southeast - the city where Iryna Zarutska was murdered - doesn't know what a branch of government even is.
Chesser: I'm asking which branch you fall under.
McFadden: Mecklenburg County. I'm a duly sworn Mecklenburg County Sheriff, we answer to the people of Mecklenburg County.
Chesser: This is not where I was anticipating getting stuck. Um - Are you aware of how many branches of government there are?
McFadden: No.
Poor Chesser, he honestly thought he was going to have a semi-intelligent conversation with someone who comprehended the basics of fifth grade civics.
He failed to understand exactly what a DEI officer of the law meant.
Chesser: Okay ... For the sake of debate, I will move on and say there are three branches of government. Legislative, Executive, Judicial. Of those three, which do you believe you fall under?
McFadden: I believe I fall under the last one ... Judicial.
Chesser: You are incorrect, sir. You fall under the Executive.
This apparently is the first time he's ever heard of the three branches of government.
This is one of the most shocking things I've ever seen. And McFadden's smug face while answering these questions takes it to a whole new level.
I'm at a loss for words, people.

Those stars tell a tale too. And its not just there.
Many depts believe they are specialized military units trained to take down the most highly trained terrorist cells in the world and in all actuality they cant answer the most basic Constitutional questions.
Google the Alexandria Police Dept and how many officers (some former,some on paid leave) have violated the most basic of rights. One told a subject ON BODYCAM during questioning "I know the Constitution". He soon finds out he actually doesnt know anything as he is slapped with civil rights violation.

what branch of the federal government do you think he operates under jethro?
believe or not maggie you live in a city, in a county, in a state and 90% of the government you can see, touch and feel happens to you at one of those three levels. but...but..but our democracy!

Being a LEO for many years you would be surprised how many do and dont.
When you have officers/deputies that grab a phn and call their boss--chief or sheriff--for final approval on any serious call that tells you where that dept is.
My main reason for retiring was the amount of BS you see happen thats againt the law and most people dont even know. It was a slow progression that turned on to supersonic speed within a few years. Hiring anyone with an IQ above room temp and a pulse that can do 10 pushups and 5 setups and run a mile.
To my one down voter from my earlier post:
Go get some of that with shite and tell me how much you understand about a civilized democratic republic and making split second decisions that take lawyers days to decipher. You cant hang baby. I promise.

let me drop some knowledge on you jethrine, don't pay your income tax if you owe any and see what happens, it'll take the federal government 2-4 years to catch up to you, don't pay your property taxes and the county will foreclose on you in 6 months.

Hint: State and local governments also have 3 branches of government, and every employee is overseen by one of those branches
