What am I missing with Iran

Country has close to 100M people. If 99M people rallied against khameni why would they even need our help? If this “revolution” was so popular in Iran they wouldn’t need our help. People who I use to like, like Mari levin, and ben shapiro seem to really be pleading for U.S intervention because they claim the president made a promise. The last time I checked, Iranians don’t pay taxes.
Sure a failed Iran would be great but let’s stop pretending like a new government wouldn’t have corruption scandals up to the wazzou and eventually be unfriendly if we didn’t give them scores of money.

You need to convince the military to turn against the leaders. Or ar least refuse to obey orders.

So…regime change that would cost us billions upon billions and let’s just hope they are friendly I guess

We the people of Iran, don’t have weapons. It’s easy to talk tough when you’re not the one who’s got to give your life so that other citizens can be free.
They need help.
They need help.

When regime change comes from the people, you don't have the issues with a forced change from outside forces. People usually will get someone who is like them that they will support.

Unfortunately, if a country, any country is dependent on another country to provide them freedom then they are unfortunately SOL. At some point the U.S needs to stop being a charity for the entire world. And I would say that even if it was our neighbors to the north or south.

We do have 2A

But my point is let’s just say 60% of the population felt that way, that’s still the vast majority of the country. I think that they would have some weapons, and some connections from inside Iran that would be beneficial to them without the need of a foreign world power.

Reza Pahlavi is pretty friendly. Not sure if he would wind up in power though.

That may be true. But I’m sure there are scores of unregistered weapons in the hands of the Iranian citizens.

He may just be “friendly” right now as a way to get the U.S to install him into
Power
Power

He ought to be friendly. His entire family would have been executed in 79 if not for the United States

I'm pretty disappointed we haven't helped those people out yet.

We’re in the middle of a civil war with Marxists. I don’t give two shits about anyone else’s freedom besides our own and my children’s

Iran hasn't done a damn thing to us, or anyone else.
They haven't done a damn thing to their own people.
Military industrial complex is using the same tired old script saying they're doing bad things to their own people, and it's just bullshite. As usual.

They are directly responsible for hundreds of deaths in Iraq over the last 20 years from IEDs and other means.
The protests were so violent on the 8/9 January that tens of thousands were killed.
They have been essentially forbidden from exiting their homes at the risk of death since late January. They can barely go out during the day.
They are not armed, and their starlink systems have been destroyed and confiscated.
Their killings of Americans alone, should be enough to wipe them out. Add thousands of civilians on top of that.
They are weak right now and we should bomb them into the next life, soon. With very few troops on the ground.
Arm them and let them fight for their future.
A major issue with the Arab states, is that they probably don't want an anti Islam nation in their neighborhood. That's why a lot of the Arab states are pushing diplomacy.
The United States is being polite to the arabs with these talks that will go nowhere. You don't amass that many assets on Irans borders and just walk away and call it good.
It's over for the regime.
Biggest issue is who comes out on top after a prolonged civil war.

Didn't they gun down hundreds or thousands of protesters in the streets or am I misinformed?

1 million guns is more powerful than 200 million hands
Posted on 2/9/26 at 4:39 am to Tigergreg
Id rather just airdrop guns and weapons into cities regularly and hope slowly good people start fighting back and organizing stronger pockets.
Then the military would start having second thoughts
