I know we got some veterans from the portal and few back from last year, but that kid can flat out hit. He’s shown it every scrimmage now. He should be the lead for DH

He sure seems to have a lot of multi-hit games. Can't wait to see him at the plate.

Not hating on the take, but there seems to be lots of guys it will be hard to keep out of the lineup. The non conference will be very exciting to see different guys. This team is so insanely deep.

I heard Jay say the other day about not knowing until the lights are on in front of the crowds. Some guys are not great in the fall then just play better during games. I forgot who he specifically referred to in last years team.

Braun looks like one of those guys that just has a gift to hit a baseball.

He seems capable of hitting righties or lefties. He doesn’t have a position right now, so I expect him to be the starting DH.

he may give Reaves the nod opening day but Braun has shown himself to be Him.

Serna, too. Arguably the two best bats that are not solidified starters.

What is your constant hard on for Serna?

also Dardar. He mentioned those 2 specifically because of experience.

Maybe he’ll give Ms. Rachel the nod on opening day, since you’re so obsessed with bringing her up.

he will play because you need 2 catchers. His hitting and defense are advanced. Maybe a lot like Arrambide was last year.

i don't understand the nature of your question. Do people not like Serna?

As in, one of the best HS catchers to ever land at LSU?

Lester has some questionable takes but hyping up Omar Serna definitely isn’t one of them.

Braun has been great. But, you still have whoever isn't playing 2B out of Dardar, Reaves, and Simpson. And, you have other RH power bats like Pearson and Serna. Ruckert has swung the bat well. Harden has flashes. Patrick is solid. With the amount of quality sticks, I could even see a world in which one of the previously named takes some LF reps from Stanfield or RF reps from Brown if he doesn't hit lefties.

He started at scrimmage at southeastern
Didn’t do much though

His offensive game has taken a step forward since the fall. If he was able to do that against our pitching staff, I believe that it can definitely carry over into non conference play and beyond
