Bucks starting to show back up on camera

I stopped seeing bucks on my cell cameras about 3 weeks ago, which coincided with the end of the rut. It wasn't gradual, it was like someone flipped a switch but now they're starting to show up again (but all small/young bucks). While this has happened every year for as long as I've had cameras, I finally switched to cell cameras this year and receiving pictures in real-time really made it obvious this year. Can anyone explain why bucks basically disappear as soon as the rut finishes?

They’re wore out. Probably went in the thickest, nastiest, crap they can find and rested. Didn’t move far to feed, and just laid low for a while.

Doe’s that weren’t bred are starting to cycle again. The bucks are starting to roam around a little more, laying sign, looking for a hot doe.

If your cameras are over feed, they’ve been more worried about breeding does than eating. Now it’s time to eat.

Bucks are like a heavy weight boxer that’s been through fifteen rounds. They’ve got to rest up. A mature buck will easily loose 20 percent of his weight during the rut.

They know when the season ends.

I checked my game camera (which is in my lot) and I had nightly pictures of does, but no bucks. They know when I put out some more corn. Early in the season I had some huge bucks.

Probably because there isn't 4 hunters per acre in the woods anymore.

That's our camp way in the back (white trailer). That spot is a great spot, overlooking the pond, and within walking distance of the camp. The 3 of us that hunt this piece all have kids that are getting into hunting, so it was a no-brainer for us to break down and invest in an Antler Shed for them to be comfortable in. They absolutely are awesome.

Private land. The neighbor doesn't hunt. Took a picture of him from his truck about 50yds away mid December. I'm going to walk the entire 100 acres and see if I can find where he's bedding. The property makes a horse shoe. I'm pretty sure he bedding in the middle of the horse shoe on someone else's property. Plenty of does during the day but seldom get bucks. I'll move my cameras around and see if I can get daytime pictures.
