So we going to “ Run it Back” next season with just a different coach and make playoffs?

You could take prime Phil Jackson or prime Pat Riley , you’re not making the playoffs next season with this roster. I think there is a real possibility that this franchise will be moved in the next couple years. New Orleans has the worst sports media in the country, why not investigate what is really going on with Pelicans?

we offered zion and trey for luka but got told no.
then we tried to get shai for queen and nearly got the deal done but evidently couldn't close the deal.

I’d hope not but you never know with this front office. There’s more potential value in waiting in the summer than making a move now. So I get why they didn’t do much.

BINGO. NOBODY WILL EVER CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE! THE TRADE WITH LUKA AND THEN THE MAVS GETTING #1 PICK WITH A 1.8% CHANCE WAS THE NBA LAUGHING AT THE PUBLIC AND KNOWING THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT.

Joe Dumars got the job because he said the talent wasn't the problem, it was the leadership/culture. He has to save face with ownership and can't have a fire sale halfway into season one to jump into a long rebuild. Despite ALREADY going halfway into the long rebuild by taking 2 first round picks in the 2025 draft (which should have been traded for experienced players if he wasn't planning to break up the core of Zion, Trey, Herb). So he is going to buy himself more time by hiring a washed up coach with some name recognition who is willing to work for less than 90% of the other NBA coaches. They will have flashes with Murray, Zion, Trey, Queen, Herb, Fears, but Zion will get hurt again, and Joe will say that's the reason for the lack of success and buy himself year 3...
