Does anybody else realize that Trump is saying this so that Democrats will freak out and "settle" for the SAVE Act?
Oops. Perhaps I shouldn't have said that...

I do agree with him that federal elections should be run by the federal government, but that should include moving from the electoral college to using a popular vote.

Nah nobody wants the voters of California and New York running the country

I don't understand your reasoning for this take...

No and No.
All the talking head on TV that are saying Trump is trying to nationalize elections and ignore the constitution are leaving out the fact that they would need to amend the constitution which would never happen for this issue.
Why would you want the government under a sitting President to oversee the elections that President may be on the ballot for?
Trump isn't trying to federalize elections, he just wants to make sure those voting in the states that run the elections are able to prove who they are and that they are citizens since there are states not doing that.

You don’t understand? Is this real? He wants immigrants from Somalia and Guatemala deciding elections because they freely vote in Leftist hellholes so he really trusts their judgement

Republican votes in CA/NY should matter just as much as Republican votes in the deep south.

Mob rule that goes the way of blue states that are ate up with illegals and other forms of election fraud?
Hard pass.
Stop being such a simpleton.

I would agree but you people are terrible at decision making so I’ll pass

Precisely.

Sure, as long as it's the popular vote for each state to determine one single vote in the election. California gets 1 and Connecticut also gets 1. This way, urban and rural don't matter. Just what each state wants.

Wrong. It is 51 separate elections.

I'm bitching about every other EC victory by the GOP where the left screeches incoherently for 4 years about #MuhPopularVote when everyone that isn't functionally retarded acknowledges that that's not how we keep score.
You can have more total offensive yards and still lose the game.
