Lane is so ready to be the head football coach of LSU.
He understands the responsibility and what it means to the people and the state of Louisiana.
This is the job he has wanted.
Life is funny. You can't time things the way you think you can.
This is the opportunity he has wanted and we are thankful he is here to lead our Fighting Tigers.

I would have never ever imagined him being our head coach one day, but I couldn’t be happier now.
I never really disliked him though. I ‘hated’ him with a smile on my face. Sort of like a good wrestling villain.
So glad he’s here now. Dynasty is a possibility, but you have to start with the first one first. GEAUX Tigers

Having a brilliant mind for play calling and design is a far cry from being qualified to be a head coach. The guy needed seasoning, but was elevated too early due to his pedigree. His time under Saban, and paying his dues at lesser programs, have both done him a world of good.
I doubt today's Kiffin would be much of a fan of the Kiffin from Tenn and USC.
