It’s widely discussed on the VIP Board

Because he wasn't injured.

He got benched in the middle of the Bama game when the game was still up for grabs and he wasn't moving the ball.

After that L and the season already more than lost, the team wanted to see what they had in MVB as a potential future candidate (obviously he wasn't) without hurting Nuss' draft stock too much by getting benched midseason, hence the injury reports that kept him out through the bowl game but was apparently fully healthy less than a month later for the senior bowl.

It’s not. It was an oblique injury.

He recently spoke at length with Hester & Flynn about it

quote:

"It's been a long process, and I'm starting to get healthy," Nussmeier said.

"We finally got some answers... about a month ago, we finally figured out what it was. We finally have a good plan to get healthy. It was a game-time decision to see if I could come out here."

"I couldn’t use my core," Nussmeier explained. "So I was throwing the ball without my core."

Give it a break man. We know you’re stupid, you don’t have to keep proving it.

I don’t think it’s a secret, they just had no clue what it really was

So he “reinjured” it. Which implies he was healthy mid season.

Additionally he states it was an “ab injury” not a “core injury”

Eh they acted like he was “healthy” after the bye week for South Carolina game.

He still looked not great vs Vandy & A&M so who knows. Was the SC game where he was taking a beating & limping? Hard to remember (or more accurately, easy to forget) last season

If they don't want people constantly asking about the injury, then it should've been cleared up.

Nuss just said in the recent interview that about a month ago they found out exactly what the injury was.

Him saying it was a core injury still doesn't clear it up. You don't say I tore, pulled, strained my core. Is it oblique, abdominal, sternum, etc.?

How the hell do they only find out a month ago what it really was?

It does seem strange. Good luck to him, but if they won't clarify, the questions are warranted.

When the NFL gets hold of the medical records during season, I guess it won’t have any injury listed. Good thing it was diagnosed and treated in the last month.

He had an oblique injury and the staff did no work in preparing backup in case of emergency.

5 years of tape tell you exactly who Garrett Nussmeir is and always will be. An average QB who could never evolve to the hype placed on him. He wasn’t hurt. He was just not the guy people wanted him to be.

CBK dropped more than enough "coach speak" for people to realize Nuss was never playing at 100%. Some people were so emotionally invested in this past season that they didn't want to hear it. So, they made up narratives about Nuss trying to pin this on anything other than bad luck.

He’ll go down as the most overrated QB in LSU football history.
