That will help the Saints. We're already close to being out of cap hell.

Good for the players. Get your bread.

I think we are getting close to 100m per year qb contracts

Good for the players, bad for the fans. That bread’s got to come from somewhere.

Overpriced TV deals

Blackouts due to tv negotiations

Increased cable / streaming costs

It’s crazy that it shot up 100 million in 4 years.

It’s a revenue split man. It’s based on the bread they already got, it’s not a toll bill that the teams will jack up prices on tickets to make up (they’ll still raise prices, but not because of the cap)

I never understood this mindset.

Why does this generation care about players “getting that bag”.

You’ll never be friends with them and they won’t ever know your name.

That’ll be for next season’s cap increase

Owners want increased revenue regardless of a revenue split with the players. They aren’t doing it to “keep up” with a cap split, the cap is set AFTER the money is made.

I think the point being made is that the cap is going up in general because fans are paying more.

It has gone up by a 3rd over four years. Unless the fan based grew by that much, then each fan, on average, is paying more to consume NFL content and the players (and owners as you stated) are benefiting.

And that’s not me throwing shade, it’s simply what’s happening. If people will pay those prices to watch games then good on the NFL for making money.
