Why trade Missi unless it’s to dump Poole or Murray?

They have to be trying to dangle him instead of a first to dump these two terrible contracts.

Hard to say without knowing what they're trying to accomplish with Missi and Jose in these trade talks. They're the only two guys they're willing to trade that has any value right now.

The possibility of trading Missi to dump Poole shows acquiring Poole was another all-time frickup by Dumars.

Why would you trade Missi or any picks to dump Poole?
It would be beyond stupid to waste an asset to dump him.
We aren’t competing for anything. Don’t waste assets on a salary that expires next year.

If it gets us free of those two contracts I’d trade Missi and I really like Missi but thats a lot of cap space opened up. Unfortunately no decent player wants to come to this team and we don’t have a draft pick either. Trade is the only way to get better.

At least Poole's contract is up next season.
Wow..we have Murray until 27-28.
If we could unload either of them that would be amazing, unless we give up too much to move them.
Missi is improving every game and is still very young. I would keep him.

And what exactly you will do with Poole's money next year? Attract free agent?
It will be unbelievably stupid to attach Missi to him. He is only 21, he is cheap and will be RFA only in 2028, not to mention that in the last month he improved significantly. So in a year, with proper coaching, he might be the big we need next to DQ.
Otherwise we will have to hope to select a better center in 2027, who will need 2-3 years to develop and by the time he does that, DQ and Fears might have seen enough from the Pels.

Stop paying to dump contracts. Just let them expire or wait until you are in final year. They are no longer negative value when in final year.
