Curious to see if anyone is playing. I downloaded it, but didn’t even care to get past the training session.
I don’t have the best PC setup, but it’s not bad (9070xt and 9800x3d) and it felt and looked terrible.
geoff keighley was on the take with this one.

He's definitely either been paid for promoting or he's an investor behind the scenes or something.
He's been abnormally glazing and hyping it for months in a way beyond normal coverage.
It really doesn't look that bad to me but I'm not interested in hero shooters at all and that market is ridiculously overcrowded already and as someone not into that genre they all look sorta the same to me.. Even if you make a good one long term success will be hard.

If the rumors are true that he just thought it looked cool and wanted to put it as the final reveal of the game awards... he probably feels bad that his decision got so much added negative attention towards the game. If Highguard had a regular slot during that award show, it would have been forgotten about and never would have received the extra scrutiny.

Honestly it’s extremely mid so you haven’t missed much. 3v3 base raiding. Not at all what i expected going in but I do give them props for offering up something unique and not just copy/pasting Overwatch.

Not that steam player counts or twitch viewer counts are perfect metrics, but the game has been completely forgotten in 24 hours
There are about 12 other shooters right now with much bigger numbers, all the usual suspects.

Anyway I really wish so many studios would stop wasting so much time and effort on chasing this obvious dead end.

That game is getting destroyed on the internet.
Heard it lost like 85% of the player base on the first day of release.

I don't think it's a bad game, but it's just mid. People tried it because it was free, thought it was mid and that's that.
Maybe people will give it a shot again in the future. Feel like the game would be served well if you do 3v3v3 instead of the giant map for 6 players.

It's gotten pretty bad ratings on Steam. I haven't played it myself yet, and the ratings have stopped me from grabbing it.

I put Summit on for background noise the other day and he was playing it. Seemed like a cool concept. Apex style gun play with some strategy. But did seem not very deep. Arena games are pretty much dead anyway.
