Zion all of a sudden is playing with energy so he can add to his trade value.

He clearly wants out and its a shame because when he actually gives effort he’s a game changing talent. I wish we could keep Zion, Trey and Bey somehow. Bey has been an absolute steal.

Bey is having a great year so far. He plays hard and looks like a team player.

Good we might get a 2nd.

Yea... That must be it...

What would you attribute it to then because he’s a completely different player than he has been this year.
Posted on 1/25/26 at 8:25 pm to LSUPilot07
There's enough data in his career to strongly suggest he plays his best games in January.

I don’t give a shite about data when I see with my eyes that Zion, Bey, Trey and Missi are all playing lights out lately and I hope they are all still on the roster after the deadline. A mid1st for Zion for him to go to another team and be a consistent player both on offense as well as rebounding and D. No mid-late 1st would give the Pels 25/7/4 every night. I know it won’t be a popular opinion but it would just feel wasteful dumping Zion for pennies on the dollar. I’d rather risk injury for what he provides the team when he’s on the court.

It’s cause he’s not fat anymore

Keep him for rest of year then see what market is

frick that. The second someone offers a first I'm good. Trade him

I think Zion is worth more than a single 1st round pick.

The issue is, I doubt 1 NBA team thinks that, at $40M a year, and the new cap rules in place.
You'd have to target an idiotic franchise like the Bulls or Kings and hope they have a brain spasm.

Don't keep doing this to yourself man. There simply isn't a timeline in the Pelicans' future with Zion on the roster that leads to championship contention. You gotta cut your losses, get what you can, and blow it up. Hopefully we can use Zion to get back into the first after trading away a top 5 pick.

My man if you actually think Zion will ever be a consistent player in regards to rebounding or defense; we’ve got seven years (albeit with a shite ton of missed games) of evidence to the contrary.

HOLY shite HE'S SPRINTING
On offense, which he does fairly often. Defensively, he's usually just yelling at the refs near the paint and doesn't bother getting back.
