Got like ten different rotations we could run out there at DB. I think Thomas over Grace at tight end.

Feels like a dream.

Sam Leavitt RS JR

If he stays healthy this is a playoff team.

Feels like only areas that are not absolutely stacked are CB and DT

Lane not only loaded up, he set the team up for the future beyond 2026 as well. Only 7 Senior projected starters. I know the portal changes things, but he’ll keep who he wants. Here’s who I think LSU will have to replace.

Senior Starters
WR - Jayce Brown
C - Braelin Moore
RG - Aliou Bah
DE - Princewill Umanmielen
LB - Whit Weeks
LB - TJ Dottery
S - Ty Benefield

Potential Junior Draftees
QB - Sam Leavitt
WR - Jackson Harris
WE - Eugine Wilson
TE - Tre’Dez Green
LT - Jordan Seaton
CB - PJ Woodland
*Hopefully a few more Juniors explode this year, about 5 more defenders have the potential.

For reference, the 2019 team lost 14 to the draft in 2020, but the roster was decimated for the 2020 season. LSU will still have some dudes left plus the freshmen and backups that will develop this year.

I know I’m getting way ahead of myself here, but hard not to look at the roster and see that LSU is 2 & 3 deep at almost every position with guys with multiple years of eligibility left. LSU going 16-0 TWICE!

That's pretty much exactly how I see it at this time.

Lane likes to use several WRs, but I look for 5 to get most of the PT: Jackson Harris, Wilson, Watkins, Jayce Brown, and Tre Brown.

I'd keep an eye on Jones at RB.

We need to find a TE that will block, and hopefully it's Trey'Dez... he'll play no matter what.

I think OL is right, but I think Thomas may push for a starting spot if healthy. Thompkins should battle it out at RT, as well as whoever doesn't start at G between Thomas, Harper, and Bah.

Glad to see Woods is at DT. We needed another guy there and I thought he was listed at DE. I hope Lamar plays there some as well. I like our potential rotation and the transfers we landed here.

Any intel on Cobbins moving to LB or just a guess?

Safety/ Star will be interesting... with Delane now, there are 4 guys that I think could start and only 3 spots.

Crazy depth at WR, OL. I think Jones will get TDs this season with Grace at fullback leading the way. If you look at Woods profile he’s listed as a DT LINK. I think you see a lot of cheetah package on third down this season (4 DEs) and Lamar will be in there. Just a total guess on Cobbins cause he’s smaller DE and it made the numbers even out lol. DB could be any of like 10 combos likes someone said earlier.

Looking at it all, it’s ridiculous imo. We’ve got, at the very least, serviceable players 3-deep at just about every position.

Corey Raymond is high on J. Jackson, Turner, and Finney. And don’t sleep on Big Rich Anderson and Geralds at DT.

Everyone needs to stop at the assumption that Davis is going to be your starter at Right Tackle. His tape was very very bad last season. He has the ability to improve, but he needs a lot of technical improvement.

I think it's going to be Clark over Longstreet.

Longstreet feels like the future developer, IMO.

Other than that, this is solid.

Almost identical to mine. I could have loved to add one more CB.

My thoughts too. Clark is legit, and Husan knows he’s gonna me sitting for at least a year or two. He’s ok with that.

Pretty solid first stab, just a couple I spotted. Thomas will be #2 TE with Grace #3 and #1 FB/HB. LT #3 is Martinez with either Devin Harper or Weston Davis #4 (JaKolby Jones is strictly viewed as an interior player). LG is going to cone down to 2 things. #1 is who wins the RT battle. Weston Davis and Ja’Quan Sprinkle have started the most games at RT in college and then there is Strey, Devin Harper and Solomon Thomas. If Harper wi s the RT spot that most likely means either Ja’Kolby Jones or Solomon Thomas are the starting LG. I think they keep guys like Bah, Weston Davis, Ja’Mard Jones, Sprinkle and Strey on the right side unless there are injuries or no other option.
