One of the greatest politicians in the history of Western Civilization, Winston Churchill served Britain twice as its Prime Minister (1940-1945 & 1951-1955). Galvanizing the British populace to continue the fight against Nazi Germany after the fall of France in June 1940, the British waged a heroic war against the Germans over the skies of England and in the desert of North Africa until the United States entered the conflict in December 1941.
Despite being a legendary smoker/drinker, Churchill would live until the age of 90 before dying on January 24, 1965, from complications of a stroke he had suffered two weeks prior.

Historian James Holland has called the Battle of the Atlantic the most important campaign of the Second World War in the European Theater of Operations.

Churchill led an incredible life. He was an excellent writer and wrote a great many books. I think he and TR were the two most interesting men of the 20th century. Full of life and always in the arena.

He was a drunk racist who started WW2 look at England now. How many Christians did he force in the meat grinder to aid communism?

During the lowest point of the war, Churchill explained to his family, including his young daughters, that in event of invasion, they would all fight to the death. He backed this up with training for all of them.
He carried a Bren light machine gun in the trunk of his car and regularly practiced with both it and with a rifle and bayonet. He had a habit of wearing colorful jumpers when not in public, and one of his close military aids characterized his bayonet practice appearance as that of a "belligerent Easter Bunny".
The EU and the UK don't make them like that any more.

Churchill wasn't even in government when Britain declared war on Germany in 1939.

Congrats, Just when I thought I had seen the bottom of the barrel for ignorant morons on TD, you set a new low. You do realize he's the guy who coined the term "Iron Curtain" and was a devout anti-communist, unlike the Roosevelts?

It does no good. Most of these idiots who come out of the woodwork spouting this shite watched that episode of Tucker Carlson where "historian" Darryl Cooper called Winston Churchill the chief villain of WWII. They now think they are experts on the subject.

Wait. He invaded Poland? He wasn’t even the prime minster, that was the spineless chamberlain who would’ve sucked Hitlers Dick for “peace”

He was as bad a strategist as Hitler. Great leader, but terrible operationally. Norway was his baby and was a disaster. Kept siphoning off resources from his North Africa generals and then blaming them for lack of success. He opposed the cross-Channel invasion right up to the final decision to launch Overlord. He was obsessed with the "soft underbelly" of Europe via the Mediterranean. Why? The British Empire had lots of territories and holdings in the Med, Middle East and Africa. Churchill was willing to spend every drop of American blood to preserve the British Empire.

There is definitely truth in what you posted. Churchill's #1 priority was the preservation of the British Empire because, at the end of the day, he was an imperialist.

I'll try this one!
A. Because they struggle to find anyone weaker than themselves?

He’d probably side with the Nazis seeing what Europe has become. Rightfully so

I still love the story of the lady saying she would poison him if they were married and his response was “if you were my wife, I’d drink it”
