He used alignment as a buzzword, but he never conceived of getting the governor involved in recruiting level alignment.

Best case scenario is he feels the shame and tries try to redeem himself as a coach sometime in the next year or two to offset the buyout. Unlikely but I’m hopeful.

He won enough to avoid falling like AU &UF.. he was super organized and O left an absolute mess of things.. Kudos to our admins and boosters for recognizing the mistake and not sitting on their hands like our other Sec rivals did.. Verge Ausberry & Scott along with the board knew even before a&m loss CBK was a 100m dollar mistake imo.. Hard pill to swallow.. Bec he won a ton over his career..Many programs would have suffered for two more years

Most all big time coaches have huge egos and don’t want to be known for ending their careers with failure.
Les absolutely loved being in the national spotlight and all that came to an abrupt end. You know that bothers the hell out of him, even with all his money. I’d imagine the same goes for Kelly, Jimbo and maybe Urban.

Wish they would start banning anyone that starts a Kelly thread. Shits old and stupid. Yes he sucked. Yes he tore the program apart.

He’ll probably get this year and next year to find a job. After that, LSU will start pressing him. He can get a lower division job easily. He won’t just be able to ride off into the sunset.

Don’t care what anyone says but Brian Kelly is absofrickinglutely reeling inside IMO. That money only gets you so far in life when in your heart of hearts you know everyone is looking at you as a failure. People at the bar. People in your orbit. People in the store.
In a year or two, everyone will have forgotten about him.
