Is Oregon in worse shape at OT than we are?

Their refusal to surrender in their pursuit of Seaton makes it seem so.

Why would they surrender?

They’re in much better shape which is why it’s obvious money is the real factor here. But also confusing that they would be in such a bidding war for a one year rental when they’re in much better shape at the position.

Talented but young at LT without much experience.

If I never hear this again, it'll be too soon. LSU isn't exactly broke and they have shown up for Lane and recruiting . At this point I think we need to leave this kid standing on the corner and grab another lineman. Lane knows how to find talent. Do we want Seaton? Absolutely! Lane has done a great job rebuilding this team and he has my trust and support. We are in great shape regardless.

If the money is close then the kid should choose where he’d rather be. Both are good choices. No hard feelings.

He was a 5* out of HS and through his play has developed into a top 10 pick. These kind of men don’t just show up in the portal, in fact if he wasn’t at the dumpster fire that is Colorado, he wouldn’t be in the portal at all. Players of his caliber at his position simply do not enter the portal from a big time school.

I know rankings aren’t everything, but the next highest rated OT left in the portal is in the 400’s in terms of player rating

Bet you also said the same exact thing when Kiffin didn't announce he was coming to LSU when you wanted. And when Leavitt didn't commit in a time frame that you deemed appropriate.

It's not the kid, it's the greedy uncle charging by the minute all these coaches are on the phone/visiting him.

No, but if they got money to spend why wouldn’t they go after him
