Is Seaton the last domino of the portal class?

He would obviously be a HUGE get. That being said, LSU is really in a no lose situation here. If Seaton comes, a jewel for the crown of this portal class. If he doesn’t (and I believe it’s 100% a money game at this point), the sky is still very much intact.

I’m looking forward to watching Kiffin build a team from these pieces now.

Not only a phenomenal class this year, but he has a $20 million budget to add to next year's team. The sky is the limit.

You bring in a legit potential all conference LT then you should be competing for SEC and definitely playoffs

Sort of true...sort of not true. LSU had 3 huge areas of need...QB...Edge rusher...and LT (really more than 1 OL to be honest). IF LSU doesn't get Seaton OR one of their current players can't play adequately the most most important OL position for a right handed QB, that is a hole! It really is!

This seems to be the case when his uncle got Nike involved last night.

I do my fair share of melting but in no way will I melt over not getting seaton after this class lane has put together.

Went from our 2026 outlook being bleak as it's looked in a long time to a fully reloaded roster ready to compete!

Plus if we lose seaton it won't be because lane didn't swing for the fences

I'm wondering if there's anyone else on our radar for LT if Seaton doesn't commit.

I don't really know who's worth a look that's left in the portal.

Just my opinion, his uncle was grinning like a kid on Christmas in that pic with Lanning. He wants that Nike money. I think he signs with Oregon.

The #2 WR from Ole Miss is still on the board. Cayden Lee I think...

Nothing personal to the kid, but watching him several times this year, I really don’t see the need.

How much of that 20M is needed for retention

I think adequately is where we’re at without Seaton. With him, you may have the best LT in the SEC

Agree. For me the question with Seaton has become that is he really undecided about where he wants to be, or is his camp just using Oregon as leverage to drive up his price?

Agree, if we don't get Seaton, Lane gave it the College try and much more...

Well, that's how Tennessee got Trsitan Keys. They got adidas to sign him, so once Tennessee signed a deal with Adidas, us getting him was dead in the water.

But if he wants a Nike deal, cancelled his visit to Oregon, and his other suiter being Miss State (an Adidas school), then one would think that puts us in a pretty good spot to land him

Devin Harper was going to start at Ole Miss at LT if had stayed there. So he was the plan for current staff at OM.
We signed the LT from Baylor that started the last 6 games; their QB threw for over 4,000 yards.
We do have options.
