Some Greenland History Notes

People mocking the idea of the U.S. buying Greenland don’t know history.
1867 – Andrew Johnson: explored buying Greenland & Iceland (right after Alaska).
WWII – FDR: U.S. took over Greenland’s defense while Denmark was occupied.
1946 – Truman: offered $100M in gold to buy it.
Cold War – Eisenhower ? Kennedy: nonstop negotiations for bases, radar, missiles.
Post–Cold War – Clinton/Bush/Obama: expanded Arctic security & missile defense.
2019 – Trump: said publicly what presidents discussed privately for 150+ years.
The U.S. didn’t “suddenly” want Greenland.
It’s been defending it, negotiating it, and embedding there since the 1800s.
Greenland = Arctic power, shipping lanes, missiles, minerals.
Trump didn’t invent it.
He said the quiet part out loud.

People that have a problem with America acquiring Greenland are not serious people.
I want him to go a step further and annex every island in the Caribbean, including Cuba. We should not allow another foreign power to setup in our backyard.

OK, you pay for the empire and its upkeep and security. Most on here don't like paying for the welfare and public assistance stateside.....but if GeoArchis has a brain fart, you're all for it.

I think it’s suddenly becoming real clear why we want Greenland. The UK as we speak has green lighted a Chinese super embassy with its own spy agency in the heart of London.. also, appears the UK wants to give away the island the Diego Garcia military base sits on.
