Has anyone watched this eight-episode series yet? I had never heard of it but ran into it a couple of days ago, and I like both of the leads, so I started watching it. I just looked it up and it was released last Thursday (1/15).
I would say this show is very reminiscent of recent high production value Natasha Lyonne shows like Russian Doll and Poker Face. It's partly serious and violent, and partly humorous and nostalgic. The writing is not as good, but it's a decent watch, especially if you like Emilia Clarke or Haley Lu Richardson. It took me a couple of episodes to warm up to it.
The show is set in Moscow in 1977, and the two leads are CIA wives but from very different backgrounds. Emilia (she speaks with an American accent) is college educated and on the show she is fluent in Russian (she does not speak Russian IRL). Haley Lu's character is loud-mouth trailer trash.
I guess it's a buddy dramedy/spy thriller.
Bonus: A couple of shots of Haley Lu from the movie "Support the Girls":

I'm on episode 2. So far it's been pretty good.

Heard that Emilia Clark actually cracked one of her ribs filming the sex scenes.

The girls get it on (not with each other
), but unfortunately no nudity from them that I remember. Not even butt. I still have an episode to go but I doubt it gets any better from that aspect.

I find Haley Lu so hot. Shes kinda quirky and just seems normal and not some Instagram thot who acts like a plastic surgery addicted robot

OK I watched the last episode. Better ending than I expected. Multiple shocking reveals and no resolution to the story. So it's only a good ending if there is a Season 2 lined up. I checked and Season 2 has NOT been greenlit yet. So some of you may not want to start it until you know there will be a Season 2, because there is no tidy ending. It's a cliffhanger.
Ponies is currently #2 on the Peacock TV Top 10 list, and I suspect it will keep up the momentum and get a Season 2 green light soon.

Funny that you mentioned her because Haley Lu's character, Twila, is reminding me of a younger version of Charlie from Poker Face.
Loved Poker Face, but have heard it is done on Peacock.
The producers are pitching it to other networks with Peter Dinklage taking over the role of Charlie. WTF???
As far as Ponies is concerned, we almost quit after episode 2, but decided to stick it out. It has gotten better. We are through E6 now. Will probably finish it off tonight.

Her acting in this is a cross between Jennifer Aniston and Natasha Lyonne.
We enjoyed the show. I’m guessing we hear about it being renewed in the next 2 weeks.
