We killing it in the portal… ain’t no question we building the most talented team on paper… is all this for naught if we don’t win a championship in the next 2-4 years???… it seems Lane has put the onus completely on coaching… not having the talent wont be an excuse…

Purple Man Bad cannot win in the media just like TRUMP can’t.

They will try to get his own fans to place the highest-or-fail expectations.

LSU should be a perennial playoff team, that’s the expectation

Are you implying that we shouldn’t have even bothered if it doesn’t guarantee a natty in the next 2-4 years?

It’s worth it just to not have to watch BK scowling in press conferences after losing winnable games.

I don’t put a time limit on actually winning the championship. But we sure as hell better be competing for them within 4 years.

No at all… I’m implying(asking) when is actual coaching going to come into play… clearly the way the team being build “ain’t no diamonds in the rough” type players… all these transfers seem ready to play… if we fail to make the playoffs(which LSU should always make a 12-team playoff) or win the natty is Lane era here a failure?

You're one of those people who find scenarios to worry about. Just enjoy the ride.

What outsiders???…every fan I talk to from a another school has penciled us in the championship next year… we should be able to discuss expectations amongst ourselves

Successful people in any field do exactly that. Remove all excuses, put the burden on yourself to succeed, and know you will make it happen because you trust yourself to do so.

Why can’t people just enjoy a season of football without all the “gotta win the national championship “ banter. Just enjoy each game and go on with your life.

I hope that we are more successful (and we should be) than when 8&4 had their stellar recruiting class. The transfers are proven.

Just expecting to see a similar defense, maybe slight drop losing best s and cb in nation. But an improved offense that can score 25 in sec games, but more importantly, avoid 3 and outs / sustain drives better even when they don't score. So many games was the defense having to be perfect to win.

50 new faces will be tough to blend in year 1, but I expect we see improvement on offense.

Record wise, yes we all want to win 10 games, but building the roster, and getting scheme and system in place can take time with so many new faces. Also a schedule that's just nuts every year. As long as he has us competing for playoff by year 3 we'd all be happy. If it comes before that, then that's amazing.

Last year was hardly watchable on offense, and 2020 and 23 same on defense. I'd like to just have each side be respectable, and whatever record that is, so be it. More enjoyable to watch

What’s with all the Tiger Emojis and BOOMS than???… doesn’t that create anticipation which naturally would make one think of expectations???… our QB room has more money invested in it than the Saints, Jets, and Texans(C.J. only 4 million in salary this year)… you a damn fool if you believe them type of investments don’t come with immediate expectations
