Did anyone get it yet? I read a review of the MP features and it looked fun.

my friend is playing it, and he said he likes it a lot.
he said that the bikes and weapons are badass.
also, i know that during a mission they have checkpoints now. so when you get killed, you wont have to beat something again that you already got passed, but then to only die after a cut scene. which is something that i appreciated.

How much is it? I know its 1600 M$ points but what does that equate to in dollars? I forgot the conversion ratio

yeah its 20 bucks. you can actually buy it in stores also. i know game crazy was selling the expansion with cover art and such. not sure about game stop, wal mart, etc.

It's a damn good deal at 20 bucks. It has more depth than a lot of full priced games.

Does it pick up after the end of the storyline?

No, it takes place during the Niko story line. Pretty good so far IMO. Been playing a few hours. The grainy effect is kinda dumb though.

You can turn that effect off. Go to the pause menu and turn "Noise" to off.
There is definitely a lot to do. I've played about 7 hours so far and I'm about 40% done. There's main missions, side jobs, races and turf wars that I know of.

So does it require you to have the GTA IV DVD in the console? Or do you run it like a demo?

Yeah, you have to have the disc in for it to work. I turned the noise effect off so that's not anything to worry about. I'd say there is a good 10-12 hours of single player in there and the multi player modes are supposedly improved, but I haven't tried them yet. If you like GTA at all, it's a must have.

I played through it the other day. Very good expansion. The new multiplayer modes are very interesting. Lone Wolf Biker is chaos with a full room of people.

you start off fresh? or with your existing cash and weapons?
Posted on 2/20/09 at 10:33 pm to SaintShadow
You start off completely fresh. The new features in L&D don't cross over into Niko's story and you don't carry over any goodies you had while playing in the original GTA4.
It's a shame, I'd love to play through the original game with a street sweeper in tow.

You're playing a completely different character, why the hell would you start off with your cash and weapons ?

I downloaded it this weekend. Its alright. I dont like how you have to ride a motorcycle everywhere, but I do like how this guy is easier to control on the bike than Niko was. I've only played a few missions so far, but I know I'll get into it during the week.
