Who do you have and let’s be realistic. Would really like to see LSU admin make a commitment to a first class program especially with a new arena on the horizon, otherwise doesn’t matter who we hire.

The search should start and end with one name...Wade. He is the biggest name we would be able to land. Plenty of other reasons.

Outside of that, Josh Schertz, St. Louis coach would be at the top of my list.

Wish list should also include Chris Beard.

1. Wade - He's won at LSU and everywhere he's been. Most importantly, he's won at LSU. The connections both in the administration and the donor base are already there. His hire would IMMEDIATELY inject energy into a dead program. NC State is paying him less than LSU is paying McMahon to lose. He's the first call.

2. Chris Beard - Things haven't gone well at Ole Miss this year, but that's the anomaly in his career. Not the norm. Ole Miss was never a destination job for him. He took it out of necessity. It's entirely possible LSU could be a more attractive job..and this might be the time to pounce. Ole Miss fans would send a team of Harvey Updykes to ruin LSU's campus if it happend.

3. Scott Drew - The shine has started to fade at Baylor and it may be time for a change of scenery for him. Having his former basketball colleague now at LSU probably couldn't hurt. He (reportedly) turned down the Kentucky job last season. However, another year below Baylor's lofty standards might give him reason to reconsider an exit if the right circumstances presented.

4. Josh Schertz - will likely be this year's hottest mid-major name. Highly successful at D-2 level. Quickly rebuilt the Indiana State program. Is doing a good job at St.Louis.

5. Eric Olen - Good run at UC San Diego when they were in D-2 and navigated them into being a solid mid-major program in their transition to D-1. Is having a good first season at New Mexico with a completely new team. He's been out west for his entire coaching career, but he was born, raised and went to college in Mobile. An opportunity to return to SEC country might be very intriguing for him

theres an unwritten LSU fan law, any potential coach has to have coached or played at LSU

so Will Wade and Tasmin Mitchell!

Will Wade - he’s at better program now, but you have to ask. With Woodward gone and Rousse in as president, who knows.

Josh Schertz - he will get a bigtime job soon

Since LSU has no issue spending money anymore, throw a bunch of money at Ben McCollum and see what happens.
