He is scheduled to visit LSU today and tomorrow. Has anyone heard if he has arrived in Baton Rouge yet?

I hope we get this kid. I think he would kill it in this offense.

Were they QBs? Chick's are allowed in college football right?

Watching his highlights I dont see why we couldn't just roll with him as QB1

I wouldn’t. We all saw what LK did with Chambliss. The kid has some talent, if Lane wants to sign him to a small deal, and use the rest to build up the roster around him…. I would be ok with that. This is going to take more than 1 year IMO

I highly doubt we could land a player like Leavitt while also signing Clark. If we somehow managed to do so, and Leavitt were to miss the entirety of spring ball and summer workouts, it would create a massive opportunity for Clark.

You really think Leavitt is going to feel threatened by an FCS QB? Clark may be better, but no way is he going to scare off the #1 ranked QB in the portal. LSU has 0 QBs on the roster. Anyone LSU takes knows they need to sign 3 total.

No, I didn't say that at all, but Clark would get some incredibly important work with the first team working through install. Leavitt is the better talent imo, but there's no guarantee he gets back to 100% during his time at LSU. This is all hypothetical, anyway.

I agree completely that Clark could win a hypothetical QB battle just as Chambliss did at Ole Miss. I just don’t see signing Clark being any obstacle to getting Leavitt at all. He’s exactly the kind of QB you would expect to be signed as a backup.

Something about a guy like this is he wants to be in the NFL like all players but he knows he’s not a 5 star with all the hype and ego. He’s gonna grind his arse off because he doesn’t have all the hype and has to climb the ladder. Looking at his film he has the talent to do it if he can process the speed of the SEC and work on technique etc. He may not make but he’ll probably give every possible thing trying.

Yep, and he will be coached by one of the best quarterback gurus in college football. Exposure and opportunity should mean something. If we were to land Leavitt and he has an injury setback, he's the next man up.
