So does 1 mil come off of Texas Tech's rev share next year?

Hiring school will pay buyout.

That’s what was being said about Demond Williams….that he had a $4M buyout with Washington and if he transferred to LSU, that $4M would come off LSU’s cap for next year

Yes

So this is a 1 year 7.5 million dollar QB.
From an organizational standpoint, that is about equivalent to a NFL team paying a top 3-7 draft pick.
From Sorsby's standpoint, his 5.5 million would put in between JJ McCarthy and Penix, making him the 32nd highest paid QB in the league this year.

Then we can pay Demond's buyout or he can quit UW and walk on as a PWO at LSU. and we could get him a part time job at Bohn Ford. Then pay him $12 mil next year.

Why wasn't this an option for Demond Williams for us?

4 million buyout plus the 6 plus million he’d want? Naah

So does that mean Sorsby's total NIL was only 1 million? Is the buyout usually the full amount or just a portion of it? If so, I would think Williams would have been less?

These are wild times...

The buyout amount is at the discretion of the school I am pretty sure.
Washington was obviously butt hurt and made the buy out amount too high that it forced Demond to stay there. Cincy was fine with Sorsby leaving but still wanted something

Which is wild on it own. How is that legal?
Not even getting into the obvious conflict of interests in Demond having the same agent as Fisch and signing under market value 2 days into the TP window.
Demond was failed miserably by his representation and feeling the effects of it.

Cody Campbell will never financially recover from this

I don’t know and I could be wrong on that, that’s just what I remember reading
The thing that I don’t get is, apparently we were working Demond behind the scenes for a while, why the hell did he resign with Washington so quick before evaluating options
His agent had to frick him over which would explain why he parted ways with him

Not considering the amount of money involved, but how is this situation any different than Demonds? Meaning…where is all the outrage?? Dude signed a contract, right?
