Trey is a low end #2 or high end #3 and is hands down the best player on the team. The rest of the roster is shite. We lucky if we win 15 games this season.

Are you under the impression that we stand a chance with Trey?

The only reason this board rates him so high is because he is literally our only 3-pt shooter.

He still can't create his own shot due to bad handles and is still a below average defender despite his size.

If we can get back some 1st round picks from him by sending him to a contender looking for 3pt shooting at the deadline, we have to do it.

Trey is a solid piece. He shouldn’t be the focal point, but it is what it is.

Keep in mind, we haven't even started the rebuild around Queen/Fears yet. Trey's contract doesn't matchup with our timeline.

He's our best piece to get back into the first round of the draft, and make no mistake, we have to get back in the first round.

No we dont.

Trey is probably the only player on the roster outside of bey you keep unless its apart of a superstar trade. He works in the queen/fears timeline.

I get what you’re saying but we hardly stand a chance with him as well lol. This team is just rotten to the core

Lol it's cute that you think he's going to sign an extension.

I believe if he were to sign an extension at the end of his current contract, he would be the first 1st round pick in Pels/Nola Hornets history to sign a second contract extension with the franchise.

It's not happening.

A lot can change in 2.5 seasons.

Like I said, it would be bucking a 2-decade-plus trend with this franchise if he were to sign a second extension.

It's not happening.

Eh, not necessarily true.

I'm certainly fine trading Trey but you can rebuild and get back in the first without trading him. There's no reason to think that Trey's value is going to drop and if you don't trade him this deadline he's going to be worth just as much (barring injury) next year.

Even though Trey is worth more in assets, it's much more important you trade Zion over Trey.
