I’ve never heard of him. Does he know ball?

I thought Pete said just the other day that he'd be the defensive coordinator.

Did someone nix that idea?

He was Billy’s DC at ULL and first year at Florida.

For the playoffs.

Been waiting on this one. Toney was Pete's secondary coach when Pete was the DC at UTSA. Spent the last 3 years with Arizona Cardinals as DB coach.

Nothing wrong with that.

Hopefully he knows ball as well.

Thecaw made his wife angry because I kept calling for him to get fired duri by a game and likely is the reason why he left UF for the nfl

He sucked st florida

I’m blaming Billy for that. Trickle-down suckonomics.

that is probable and I was thinking that

Golding is a good defensive mind and might be able to steer Toney right

Billy made him a dc in the sec when he was 30 years old with no vets on the staff to teach him the ropes…Napier was a tard

Yeah Napier made everyone on his staff and roster worse so I wouldn’t put stock into it but frankly he didn’t do well at Florida

Also worth noting he inherited a 3rd and Grantham historically bad defense for back to back years so he had that working against him too

Went with Billy from ULL to Florida and then had been coaching for the Cardinals for a couple of years. Good experience and it will still be Golding’s defense. His wife cheered at LSU.

Frank Wilson's first staff at UTSA was pretty stout.

Couldn't replicate it after burning through all his contacts/favors though and those guys left for better opportunities.

Good to know he’s there for the taking if Lane needs him.

Pete also was in their wedding. So this was a buddy hire. Pete will also still be calling all the defensive plays during the games next year

Guy is an outstanding coach, learned under Pete, Ron Roberts, Karl Scott, also is connected to Bill Williams, who not many, if any, on here would know, but he is the guy that coaches go visit to get schooled on football. Aranda, Roberts, many NFL guys.
