As annoying as it is seeing Ole Miss go through the playoffs, the payoff of their decline back to mediocrity over the next 2-3 seasons will be a sight to behold.

I feel the same way. SEC Rant is just a different kind of board. It's strictly for slinging shite and Lane is going to be giving a lot of shite to sling around. It's all in fun over there, at least for me.

I tried pointing this out to Ole Miss fans, but they’re now using the on3 rankings as counter.

They obviously know deep down it’s coming to an end. They’re going to crow until it gets ugly then fade out.
Right now is their 2007 LSU vs Alabama where we barely pulled off a win vs Saban in his first year in a game we should’ve won by a lot more.

On3/Rivals still have LSU at #21 and Ole Miss is at #3. Funny how disparaging these rankings can be.

its really funny to see the onslaught of OM fans, who told us to watch that Lane documentary as evidence "HE AINT GOING NOWHERE, HIS KID IS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND THEY LOVE OXFORD".
i watched that doc as someone who was not high up on CLK, not due to his coaching but more so for his antics. after watching that doc, i felt there was nothing revealing about him being tied down to Oxford, but i also came away feeling like this is a man who sees his previous faults and has grown as a dad, husband/ex-husband, a man, and as a coach. i think it was tough for him to leave, and that's the kick in the nuts to OM, which we know all too well with saban.....a bit different, but we know where he ended up and it sucked.
so after all the "he aint going nowhere" talk, now he has nothing at all to do with that roster, that staff, the success they've had for 6+ years. its truly amazing watching them defend everything Pete does, poke everything LSU or Lane does. fine, have some fun while you're riding the coattails of success currently, when we know that y'all know deep down, you're dying inside and have no confidence in your future direction as soon as this season is over. better hope and pray like hell y'all win it all this year.
