Excellent video. Depressing, but excellent.

Well, considering we now have Grammy nominated songs that are simply samples of old songs….I’m inclined to say yes, music is getting worse.

Still tons of good music. I'd argue the Grammies are getting worse.

Yes. Big distinction.
The mainstream music that is being released is significantly worse than the mainstream music being released 40 years ago. But it was difficult and expensive to get music released back then. So the music that got released generally was good - same with movies.
Now, anyone can make music. You can record a whole album in your living room.
There is way more music, including way more good music and way more shitty music.
You just have to sift through it and find it. Popular music may be the worst it's ever been.

Without true shared experience, which we dont have anymore, and a blending of large homogenous organized interest groups with odd cultures that often prioritize really bland "tastes," traditional art is suffering pretty heavily.
There's still lots of good music, its just harder to find.

Beato acts like he actually liked "All Night Long" by Lionel Richie.

Compared to the crap on the radio today, it’s like fusion jazz.

I used to get disappointed when I didn't get nominated for a Grammy. Now, I breathe a sigh of relief when I don't get nominated for a Grammy or a CMA.

In this one he gives a couple reasons why
About how the loss of independent (local) radio and a couple others have resulted in today's proliferation of so much bad music. Not that there is not good music but why it’s become so vanilla.

It's the quote about Pro Tools..."the good thing is, anyone can make music. The bad thing is, anyone can make music."

There’s a lot of great music being made, but a lot of awful music is being promoted by the Grammys and Clearchannel.

The one thing I appreciate about Stranger Things is the Music.
Introducing younger generations to some of the best music.

Supposedly to get the drum sound rap fans demand you have to use a studio. Which is why if you drive through the ghetto you will see signs advertising recording studios on utiliy poles

I disagree. Wherever you got this "Supposedly" fact from is false.

Watch the video, the full video, of the guy you were replying to. Educate yourself.

So you can get your studio robbed.
My friend (producer and engineer) in Athens had a lesson in diversity in his studio with a mass burglary.
There's no such thing as advertising your $tudio on utility poles in the ghetto.
You must have seen this on a tweet or a Facebook post or some other fake news.

I freely admit I don't know shite about recording rap, but this statement
I've seen it myself
