Secondary question, are these kids committing to schools now from the portal doing so ahead of the NIL approvals from Deloitte/Clearing House?

The first 15 ish million doesn’t matter but later in the portal cycle when that number is exceeded…will be interesting to watch.

The big deals are coming out of Revenue Sharing funds that aren't subject to the clearing house. Once that's exhausted, you're moving on to 3rd Party NIL which is subject to the clearing house. They have a fair market value for each type of player.

I think Tech and a few other schools are banking on the clearinghouse not having any teeth and they're going to dare the NCAA to do something about it. It's going to be a messy season.

The Clearinghouse will be a joke.
The Supreme Court ruling that unleashed this shite was based on not being able to limit the players income. They know they will probably lose if challenged so anyone will balls will be able to do whatever they want until a challenge is defeated in court or actual laws are passed..
