We are going to have great options at #8

2 QBs at least will go in top 7 picks, and since we don’t need one our pick is more like #6. Hope someone reaches for a third qb or wants to trade up. Regardless, one of Downs, Bain, Love, Reese, or Tate ought to be available. Any would be a home run pick for us.

I don’t think Love would be considered a home run. I wouldn’t be mad at it, but I would much rather any of the other picks you mentioned.

Is it a given that Dante Moore is entering the draft? If not then Mendoza will be the only 1st round qb.

I saw someone on espn had him ranked #1 (right now precombine). He’d be a Reggie Bush style luxury pick, but a guy with that kind of speed and instant home run threat would be a lot of fun to watch in this offense.

Moore will be a top 5 pick and the clear 2nd QB on the board. I can’t see him passing that up.

As closer it gets, the more I want Love. Depending on if we can sign one of stud RB’s that are free agents like Hall, Williams, Etienne, Walker, Gainwell. I honestly don’t think AK has it anymore.

I haven’t seen anything official but I’ve seen a few mocks with him at #3, no reason to stay in college if picked that high.

This team's #1 need is a home run hitter. If we can find a pair of guards in free agency, Love would be an absolute monster in Kellen's system

You can't call it a home run if you have to rely on adding other players to make it worth a shite. That's the most ridiculous logic I've ever heard. Y'all are trying to convince yourselves that a shite sandwich is a steak burger.
You know what is a homerun pick? Someone that will have more than 60% snap usage and not have to rely on another position for success.
Downs/ OL would play 100% of offensive/ defensive snaps and actually make other players jobs easier.

The people who want Love are incapable of realizing that an undrafted RB may have more success with an unpgraded OL than Love with our current OL.

I actually agree with this. Outside of Lattimore in 2017 and Olave in 2022, every 1st rd pick we’ve made in the last 10 years has been OL or DL with average results. We’ve made few investments in our skill positions and it shows.

There are zero Guards worth a first round pick. Therefore, you must go find a minimum of one in FA instead.

No thanks on using our first on an OT for the 4th time in five years. We have two OTs on the roster, we have a decent backup, neither of our OTs project very well at guard, and the OTs in the first round absolutely do not project well to guard either.
