Is it hard to just pull for a kid and hope that the coaching staff nail their evaluations? I’m sure they know a little bit more about these kids than we do.

A little bit short sighted. There are numerous examples of a player from a group of 5 school rising up to a top team and performing at a high level. One example and an easy one to give is Cashius Howell from A&M.

He just led the SEC in sacks, and played at Bowling Green for 3 seasons, before transferring to A&M.

Prime Time SEC is the past, this is new NIL era. The turnover of players is way out of normal!

Might limit posts crying about OL in the portal threads to 6 per page now.

People need to get out of this mentality. If anything, there's more studs at lower competition now than there ever was. It's mainly due to NIL era and more players falling in the cracks with the bidding wars. More players are going unscouted and unnoticed by bigger programs so they have to go somewhere. This is especially true towards HS players because the way it's setup now, you want proven players instead of HS to fill your roster out with your money.

Good players come from all kinds of places. We aren’t the only ones turning over every rock. This is the norm now.

Did Brealin Moore play SEC competition before coming to LSU, had Chambliss played against SEC competition.

It’s not like there are 8 All-SEC offensive lineman just hanging out in the transfer portal waiting for us to smile at them.

Good players all over. Especially nowadays. Khalil Mack started at Buffalo and the LA Rams have a lb that made the team this year that’s from there. The talent is there at some of these smaller schools. Just have to find the right ones

If he isn’t ready for the SEC, he may be a good depth player.
