I feel like at least going back to banning agents would help.

Fine, let the kids go find their own NIL deals, which was the intent of the system, but there’s no place for agents in college athletics. I have no idea how that even got snuck in along NIL and portal.

How about we ban your arse from pursuing your best opportunity to make a living. The shite that went on in the past should have never happened. It was always illegal and violated players rights. Get over it or move to South Korea and join your communist comrades.

Go to 2 year commitments, if head coach leaves after 1 you can transfer.

Not really fair to ban people from having representation.

Yes it is. Should be part of the learning involved in being a STUDENT athlete - negotiate your own deals. Agents add a whole level of corruption.

You'd be introducing a different level of corruption but the players would be the one's screwed so you probably wouldn't care.

Agents allow teams with resources like lsu to get in on kids early

It’s not so much the agent. It’s there fees and they are as high as 25%. They need to regulate the fees being charged and go to 2 year contract and 1 transfer allowed during eligibility.

There have been a lot of issues with the fees. They need more of an NFL scale for fees

I’ve said it elsewhere and I stand by it - 18-22yo student athletes need to be kept on tight leashes with rules that may seem unfair, for the good of the sport the schools and themselves in the long run.

And how the hell do you propose banning a player from hiring legal representation? Get the frick out of here with this shite. The OLD DAYS are gone forever. We are not going back to that illegal system.

You literally want to deny them legal rights

That's how capitalism works. The NFL is regulated via specific laws. That is how they get away with the shite they do. Unless and until congress passes new legislation granting the NCAA antitrust exemptions then nothing can be done. That includes banning agents, lawyers, sponsors or anyone else the player wishes to associate. The days of not being able to buy a kid burger are gone. GET OVER IT!

banning agents

you don't ban them, but you take a page from the NFL and force them to be certified, which would allow for more regulation, which would help protect the player, as well as the institutions...

The NIL era has exposed a lot of them. Not that they truly are communists(some are i suppose as they are alumni of their proud communist university) but when it comes to their college sports they'll damn sure convince you they are. Lucky for them Joe McCarthy is dead.

Were they being forced to play or something? Odd thing to say
