The college football landscape is changing...

The strongest, toughest, hardest hitting teams I have seen so far this year in the playoffs, are Miami, Indiana, and Oregon. It has been a long time since I have seen anything like this.
Defense is obviously what wins championships. Haven't seen a good offense yet.

Or…. Hear me out. The offenses don’t actually suck, the defenses are just dominating with the extra game planning time.

So what’s changed?
They've ruined New Years Day. NCAA, CFB, BCS, the Playoff, ABC/Disney. All guilty as charged. Next the games will be on Amazon or Netflix, and half the Country won't see them

Its good for the sport for the Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Clemson stranglehold to end. It may be the only positive from the NIL + portal era.

For the better. Tired of seeing the same old teams year after year going to the championship

Defenses have been what its all about this season, very few offensive juggernauts with video game players.

Good points, multiple things can be true at the same time as well.
In my opinion the portal is showing its affects on offense in college football. With all these guys going to different places each year it really affects the continuity and flow of the offenses because Defense always installs, and comes together much faster than offenses do. The longer Offenses can stay together the better chance they have at being special.

So far, the SEC as a whole hasn't shown much in this bowl/playoff season.

Georgia is the SEC’s best chance. Ole Miss doesn’t have the defense to hold up.
