Wait till he realizes that there is a very large plurality of his constituency that will only be collecting and consuming.

Rugged individualism is based on being able to provide for yourself. Who is going to be producing in this collectivist society and why should they continue to do so when the fruits of their labor are being collected to be redistributed to someone who doesn't?
