Canada is falling and thinks it's at war with the US

Per the theglobeandmail
They are blaming us for their shitty economy
Stagnate investment for 15+ years
GDP growth shrinking to negative over last 10 years.
Very low investment in innovation
Canada has spent 20 years barely investing in Manufacturing, relying on tariffs to protect a less than innovative industry
And they aren't starting now
It's an economy more and more driven by government spenidng and consumption
This cost is causing Canadian companies to further invest outside of Canada faster than other countries are investing in Canada.
With Alberta getting the shorter end of a short stick
Canada is losing jobs in Manufacturing because of the targeted Tariffs, but so is the US (which has 8x the population)
World Trade is not making up the gap in Trade loss because Canadian goods are not competitive
Oil and Gas (Heavily from Alberta is the only thing propping up the house of cards (And Taxes)
In fact without these resource exports, there isn't much left to fund their welfare state (which drives their consumer economy)
And they are jamming more and more into the USMCA exclusion.
Half the Canadian pension plan is invested in the US.
Summary, Canada for a long time has been funding a government led by taxing oil from Alberta, those taxes are then redistributed to consumers.
That government has also committed to artificially propping up their manufacturing (of car parts for one) and food, to take advantage of the large US market.
Now that that market for primary and secondary goods is no longer allowing Canada to cheat on trade, the sins of non investment and innovation, Canadians are being driven by their government to hate the US, to blame another country for the decades of criminal incompetence of their governments, wasting their oil wealth on a continual growth of a nanny state and increase in citizen dependence on the government as a supplier of jobs and services.
The Canadian hatred for the US is entirely a con by their Liberal government.

Those Mapletards cheered as this was happening and labeled it progress. Much easier to blame someone else than accept responsibility.

Canada has been failing ever since they started electing progressive leadership!
It has nothing to do with the USA!

Going full blown socialist/authoritarian (Trudeau and Libs) comes at a cost.

Canada doesn’t hate America, they hate the idiot trump who has done nothing but insult them since he got back. They are shopping for other trade options like everyone else. If trump wants to be isolated he’s doing a damn good job of it.

I do not need a graph to tell me Canada sucks.

You have been fcking your own taxpayers since the early 2000s.
This has nothing to do with Trump, and I have your receipts for you above.
There are no trade options for you, no one wants anything from Canada other than your oil (which now has drastically higher shipping prices).
Your taxes are too high, your cost per Item too high, and other nations protect their own economies far more than the US is protecting it's economy now,
This was all going on long before Trump term 1.
Your country is going to go into a massive recession which is going to crater hosing prices.
Stop blaming Trump, you did this to yourself.
No one wants your non oil goods.
You are like a cheater who got caught and is now blaming her ex for throwing her out of the house.

The only good thing that will come from this is Canada's rats jumping ship back to whatever third world craphole they can escape to.
Old stock Canadians have nowhere to run.

Wonder who the two Canadian cucks are in here

Lumber and maple syrup
Both are overstated and easily sourced right here in America if not for over regulation.
There’s genuinely nothing unique about
Canada’s exports.
Trump joked about making them the 51st state, but there is a scenario where it’s in our national interest to absorb them rather than prop them up as a puppet state.

What's sad is Canada is well positioned with us to the south and them not having to field a defense as well as a plethora of natural resources.
They could be absolutely dominating.
Instead they choose to shoot themselves in the foot and sellout to China.
Its sad. I like Canada. My brother and married a Canadian and her family is awesome.
Canada could be amazing but their leaders will run them into oblivion.

Yup, thats the takeaway from all these charts, their leaders wasted an opportunity to be Norway.
