My love of the college game is dwindling as the portal has gotten out of hand. These 19 y/o are driven by money. No loyalty. Yet the college fans are loyal to their teams, and are the drivers of the college football business, I am becoming apathetic and loosing my strong loyalty to my team and less inclined to financially support my team.
The game has changed, and so have my feelings towards the college game.

I could care less about bowl games and playoffs right now.

I used to watch the majority of them.

You can thank California for leading the wave of lawsuits that allow this nonsense!
Another distribution of wealth tactic, IMO.

The college game was always more appealing than the NFL because they weren’t openly paid and there were restrictions to movement.

It will definitely have an affect on a lot of fans. Hopefully they can get some rules going.

Why do people not know the difference between "losing" and "loosing"? Third-graders know that.

it has most definitely changed my view on it. It used to be my favorite sport out there...but now, i am more into baseball. If something isn't done to reign this in, then it will only get much worse.....becoming unsustainable and fan enthusiasm fading.....they need to do something asap...question is will they...they look at this as a social program, imo.

anyone who doesn't believe this is what is happening, is either wanting it to continue because they support the social program or they don't understand what it is and why it was created. You will get a lot of downvotes and so will I......but that'll tell you how many support the social program.

Yep. Don’t really care whether they make money or not, but the restructuring of the rosters that happen every year just leads to losing the connection with the team that we once had.

Attendance and TV viewership are both doing okay so no, fans still are passionate and care about their teams.

I wouldn't think Indiana or Texas Tech fans are losing their love for the game.

Yeah, it’s pro ball now. If I wanted to watch pro ball I’d watch the NFL. And I don’t watch the NFL because it’s all about money.

I want LSU to win but I don’t care much if they don’t anymore.

Minor league football.

We're in the Wild West right now and there is real danger of the sport going down the path of no return if there aren't some sort of guardrails put in place. There is a middle ground somewhere where the athletes are making some money while at the same time not just allowed to transfer all over the place to the highest bidder year after year.

The schedule needs to get fixed and the transfer rules need to change to 1 free transfer and then you sit. More needs to be done but I think those are the most immediate needs.

I have. I could care less. The joy of college football was at least knowing players would stay 3 years. You got to enjoy their development. It is just semi-pro ball. I find myself doing other things but it could be because I am older now too.

It’s gone to shite. Any one who says otherwise is head in sand. The sport has lost all of its sole and allure of amateur athletics. It’s minor league football with no boundaries pure and simple . It’s pathetic my biggest joy will be outside the stadium tailgating as it has been last few years.
