Always pay tolls when it's a booth that can take cash/card. But I went through one in Richmond last December and didn't think much of it. Never got an actual notice in the mail... or anything except what seemed like scam text messages.

I try searching in their system but I cant do a date search (along w/ plate # and state) for more than 5 days ago...

Came to my mind because was just in Tampa area over the past couple days and think I missed one coming down to Orlando... but if they don't mail anything how the hell would I know?

They mail it to the address where the vehicle is registered

I skipped a toll right in front of a state trooper once. I don't recommend it.

Frequently because I never have cash or coins. They usually just mail you a bill.

They mail the toll invoice to the address that the vehicle is registered at.

Get the Florida Sunpass. It works for tolls in most states in the eastern half of the country. Don't have to worry about getting toll invoices in the mail that have "administrative fees" tacked on.

I’m from Louisiana so I have an “applied for license plate” sign taped to my rear window.

some of the toll systems in our area give a "transient" break to a vehicle that is doing just that, if it's a one and done it's gratis, multiple pings within a certain time period, they'll send you a bill

How worried should I be about the apparent missed Richmond-area toll from just over a year ago now? I've never seen a notice..

The ones in Oklahoma have no physical booth anymore. They send you a bill in the mail if you do not have a pass. We have an Oklahoma and a Texas app that you can preload funds to save the fees if you know you are going to be driving through but not often enough for the monthly pass.

Absolutely! On Fla's Mid-Bay Bridge approach, cruised right through. The previous toll plaza was photo, so I figured this one must be too.

Talk about "country come to town"... lol

I might have passed that same toll booth in Richmond a few years ago. Went through in a rent car. Once that happened in Dallas in a rental car, and I got a charge on my credit card for the toll, plus $15. Never heard anything about the Richmond toll.

They will never text. Those are scams.

I will avoid the booths when possible

Bill me. I’ll pay a little convenience fee on top.

I never did anything with the texts except delete and report spam and move on. But it's odd the texts referenced VA I'm fairly certain.
