The portal is out of control

If LSU were a smaller program I’d maybe be annoyed, but it’s kinda nice being able to turnover some meh players

But how many does Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, A&M, Texas and ole Miss have

I haven’t noticed many “elite” players yet in the portal. I’ve noticed some potentially good ones, but not elite like a Caleb Downs, Jeremiah Smith, Fernando Mendoza or a Jeremiyah Love.

Its going to happen eventually but the NCAA is going to have to be forced to do so. Need a Commissioner of College Football to set more rules and regulations in place. Should only be able to transfer once and have immediate eligibility and have to at least be on a team for 2 years out of high school before entering the portal. The exemptions are if your Coach gets fired or leaves (Head Coach).

If you graduate then you can transfer again with immediate eligibility.

Don't see it happening anytime soon but this whole mess was because the NCAA did not release NIL with regulations for what it was intended for. Instead it was passed by Government so it was allowed with zero regulations which made it the wild west and the portal has only made this worse. If the NCAA had done this before being forced to there could have been more regulations in place and we would not have this chaos every year.

Relham10: good question, they probably end up at a G5 school.

NIL can’t be regulated unless the business and player are dumb enough to put in writing that their agreement is contingent on the player playing at a particular school.

It is either a free for all or nothing. The NCAA knew that which is why they chose for it to be “nothing” until forced by the government.
