Rematch of a 6-6 and a 5-7 team from the Sun Belt. Who in the world is attending or watching?

If I lived in Birmingham I'd love to scoop up a $5 ticket and dip out of the office at lunchtime to take in a college football game

It's windy and cold here today. No thanks.

Who doesn't want to see a conference rematch in a bowl game in Birmingham?

Bowl games like these are for the players. It will be some of these players last time ever suiting up.

I'm here at the game. Pretty decent sized crowd honestly. More people than come to UAB games.

ETA: AJ McCarron signing autographs in the concourse, Game Stop giving out a bunch of free crap, Elsa Anna and Olaf taking pics with kids (also Santa, the Bham Stallion, and the Coke Bear), and my kid won some JLab headphones. Been a great day.

I forgot it was today, but I flipped over once I saw this thread title. GSU/App is a long-running rivalry game, and I have personal connections to each school.

Numerous entire teams opted out, and App was the only team that would accept.

But hey, this board must love rematches based on its CFP posts.

Well, he is the Stallions' head coach. That has to be a huge draw.

I don't think people knew he was going to be here. I had no clue.

I was being sarcastic. Sorry for the lack of an emoji.

(I'm a Stallions' fan, if there is such a thing.)

Honestly if I were a boss I would get tickets and bring my employees to a bowl game like this. Especially if it is during the workday.

Got ya. It was pretty cool. They gave out beanies and had him signing Stallions posters with his pic on them.

I really do believe he would have drawn more people to the game if they had advertised that he would be there and that he would be signing stuff.

Should have been. They declined, like chumps

Bowl would have been a sellout with an SEC team playing.

IMO the SEC should fine any team that declines a bowl invite.
