My youngest is trying to ask permission to buy some add ons for one of her games but I’m not getting the requests.

We’ve restarted the devices - anyone else have any other ideas???

Are you the "owner" of the family, or are they potentially going to your husband? I never got emails, I only got mobile app notifications (I think from the Apple App store app.)

yep

I’ve always gotten the notifications. I’m guessing it’s some glitch with an update.

After the ios 26 update I went from getting push alerts to text messages for those requests which is much nicer imo.

This can sometimes happen when the request goes to a device not often used, or not currently in your hands at the time of the requests. I have requests pushed to my MacBook Air, even though I have my iPhone in my hand and awaiting request.

This is usually an Apple Family Sharing setting issue. Check that Ask to Buy is still enabled for her Apple ID and that she is listed correctly as a child. Also confirm you are signed into the same Apple ID on the device that should receive approvals. Logging out and back into iCloud on your device often fixes stuck requests.

The only solution is the Apple bar then. That may be Apple's killer app, is you can avoid Prajeet and stand in front of someone that has to solve your problem.

We have this issue occasionally with our kids.

Try hard resetting your devices (versus turning off and back on). Press the volume up button, then volume down button, then hold the lock screen button until you see the Apple logo.

That usually fixes it for us.

Do you have other Apple devices? After one of the updates, for some who the eff knows reason, my kids’ requests were no longer going to my phone. I plugged in an old phone and voila they were appearing on there. A week later, they magically were back to coming to my phone.

I think Apple tried to do too much with iOS 26. I’ve had so many glitchy issues with apps since the update.

Thx for your input! In the apple family is just me and the two youngest kids

I think it has something to do with the update too

Do you have any other apple devices? Ipad or macbook? Odds are it could be going there.
Often I want it to come to my phone but it goes to my ipad or my wifes phone instead.
