How safe is Dan Campbells job in Detroit

Going to lose a game to a Vikings team playing a 3rd stringer at QB who had 75 total yards late in the 4th quarter before putting the game away with a 65 yard TD run
51 passing yards for the Vikings and still lost by 13

He probably gets at least 1 year to run it back. The only way that doesn’t happen is if Detroit gets the coach they want with zero doubt locked in before Campbell is fired.

I don't know man...it's almost like they're playing professionals.
ETA: you're also of the assumption that the 3rd stringer isnt better than the starter...and that's definitely a possibility in Minnesota right now.

He is fine...considering the last 2 seasons and also taking over a dumpster fire in 2021. That said..he whiffed on the coordinators this year. He will for sure get some time even though this year sucked. If they underachieve next year...then it's a valid question

Super safe this year
Injuries, loss of coordinators, etc will save him
Next year he’ll go 6-11 and get the axe

Campbell is fine for a few yrs. He just can't miss on an OC again next year. He needs to clean house on that side. However, Ben Johnson was apparnrently the entire engine behind the team.

3 net passing yards after sacks. 3.

Judging by Mike Tomlin, pretty safe

Very safe. Do you remember how terrible the Lions were before him?
This is just a wash out year due to OLine injuries

It's quite a fall. Some owners like Al Davis or Jerry Jones might have been less patient. To go from 15-2 and the 1 seed to most likely 8-9 is a huge fall.

He’s probably one of the top 6-7 safest coaches in the league right now. Everyone ahead of him has won a Super Bowl.

They lost Johnson and Glenn. Maybe he wasn't the brains behind the operation.

As safe as Sean Peyton is in Denver. City of Detroit loves Campbell there would be backlash.

Or in their first season.
And winning a Superbowl doesn't guarantee you're safe... Philadelphia fired their first Superbowl coach two seasons removed from winning it all.

Before you fire Campbell, first tell me what the hell is wrong with the Lions’ offensive line?

Also, Goff recovered his fumble on the snap and it was stolen from him while on the ground. Replays clearly showed that, and I’m not a retired NFL referee.

Jason Garrett survived much worse falls (plural) than that

This board would have fired Belechik the year Brady got hurt because they didn’t win the Superbowl

You must maintain the ball through the scrum.
Baskins learned this in the Superbowl

Of course.
Rantards were happy Saban went to the Dolphins because he "lost his drive and got too complacent" after winning a NC.
He went 9-3 in 2004.
