Ju’Juan Johnson small audition at QB?

Hearing a few rumblings, he's going to get some snaps and a few designed plays at QB as a testament of goodwill, so he can seek somewhere to play QB, but also prove to this staff he can. Not really sure it will amount to anything for us, but I hope he lights it up.

Hope he gets his shot and thrives. Kelly and staff clearly did not know how to identify and develop talent.

I hope he lands somewhere like Tulane or UL but I think Gus Malzahn could do something with him.

Why is he even playing? Give a player that will be sticking around those touches.

Me, too. Such a great Tiger. Would suck if he left and lit it up somewhere else.

Such a great Tiger.
I think he's a classy guy and a good player, and I hope he stays, but you can't be great here by rolling the hell out to another school.

The kid played defense when we needed DBs, he played QB when we needed a QB, he played RB when we needed RBs. He gave everything he had to LSU to help the team. Unfortunately for him he is a supreme athlete that never got a chance to excel at one position. Is he good enough to, given the opportunity? We don't really know. He's one of the ones I won't fault for transferring and hope he can get things figured out.

ETA: Think about the actual Tiger greats. You think the guys who quit and transfer out are in that category? Laughingly NO.

Care to point out where I called him GREAT?

The idea might be to keep him around

And how'd that work out for him in the NFL? He made a living in the league as a decent WR

To be fair, JuJuan planned on being a DB in college. That was always his plan coming out of HS. He had one offer to play QB out of high school, which was at UL Lafayette. He was moved to QB the RB when both of those rooms looked thin. I hope he does well wherever he ends up. I am still not sure he is an SEC-caliber QB, but who knows.

ULL was the only team that offered him to play QB. That was partly because he had said he was looking to play DB in college.

I don't think he is bitter. I think all this time playing on offense and maybe seeing the QB play at LSU this season may have awakened a desire for him to try to play QB at the college level. He's kind of had two wasted seasons where he has not been able to concentrate on any position, really.

Kid should have stayed at DB or move to star position. He isn’t an SEC back and seriously doubt he can make it as a QB.
I wish him well in the future.
