As I got older, I’d work most holidays, made good money. Often, vacations would be a week or so after July 4th. I hate crowds. Always took the family on a vacation during Mardi Gras week, always saw other La. folks.

I've been at my deer lease all week "working " on bagging huge 10 point that keeps showing up on one of my cameras. Always at night. The 2 times it was daylight was during the week when I was at work.
