I’d guess most of those 15% are “independent” because the democrat party is too far right for them.

Republicans make up only about 15% of college faculty nationwide. If Republicans want more conservative ideology at the university level, maybe more Republicans should choose that as a career.

15% didn’t see “communist” as an option and chose “independent”

When the left talks about diversity they don’t mean Christians, conservatives or whites. Just ask corporations who’ve spent 5 years discriminating openly against whites.
When they talk about free speech they only mean protecting viewpoints they agree with. Just ask the ACLU.

Dealing with kids and their new found intellectual ideologies is bad enough, imagine when the majority are a bunch of Gretas.

It’s more like they don’t come from liberal upper class families so they won’t ever get into Yale to then get a job there.
I do find it strange that liberals look down on the uneducated but hate the rich. Education is expensive. The majority of the poor aren’t going to their same schools.

Maybe if universities actually hired the qualified Republican applicants and didn’t require “DEI Statements” as part of the application process.
Of course, the university administrators are now coy about it, but they still manage to get that diversity statement of beliefs.
quote:
Universities call required diversity statements by several names, most commonly Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Statements, but also Statements of Contributions to Diversity, Perspective Statements, or Life Experience Essays, especially after Supreme Court rulings changed how they're used in admissions, requiring focus on experiences rather than ideologies, with some institutions now using alternative "Service Statements".
