Shanahan is DEFINITELY elite, but Purdy is also VERY underrated

purdy throws floaters and i don't understand how it still makes it to the receivers every time.

This board is generally pretty weird about Purdy. Usually a guy who was the last pick in the draft turning into a borderline top 10 QB in the NFL would have most everyone rooting for him. But I guess the uniform is preventing that.

Purdy joined the rare 49er 5 TD club last night that consists of Joe Montana, Steve Young and... him.

Ever watched Montana games or listened to teammates and coaches talk about the way it seemed he rarely threw a perfect spiral?

He's better than Hurts and Mahomes and people claim those 2 are elite

You can’t be elite if you aren’t available

“Elite” should be defined as Top 3-5 or it has no meaning

Which he’s not

But he’s Top 10-15 in the world at what he does, which isn’t bad for a 7th round pick

I saw “Elite” run backwards 25 yards to take a sack today and got beat by a guy that threw for 110 yards

He isnt going to take over a game on his own but he is a very good qb. Doesn't lose much games with bad decisions. Most teams would be happy to have him

Sweeping 10 TD's under the rug is certainly a choice.
