Getting ready to start cooking dinner and I do enjoy a nice cocktail while cooking.
What beverage do you all enjoy when cooking?
Haven't had one of these in I don't know how long.
Whiskey Sour!

One and a half of these(at least a good 4 oz. of Woodford Reserve) should be enough until AFTER dinner.

Old Fashion
Aperol Spritz
Hugo Spritz
Gimlet
Depends on the temperature outside, the time of day, the day of the week, and if there's a cigar lit in my general area.

A nice bourbon and ginger ale. I like to use either Turkey 101 or Old Forrester 86 proof; both taste great with Canada Dry ginger ale and are inexpensive so don't mind using them as mixers.

If cooking a Sunday Brunch or hosting a party I tend to want a Bloody Mary with a spear of pickled okra, green bean and a couple olives.
Most other times if I feel like a cocktail, it's either rum & coke with a twist or vodka and cranberry over ice.
When cooking seafood, it's almost always going to be cold bottles of beer.
